Stage: Regular Season Round 2

Stade Albert-Domec

Oyonnax triumphed over US Carcassonne with a close score of 17-14 in an intense Pro D2 match. Justin Bouraux's kicking prowess was evident as he contributed significantly with two penalties and a crucial conversion after Danny Toala's opening try. Carcassonne's Viliame Tutuvuli received a yellow card early in the game, which hampered their momentum. Despite this setback, Johnny McPhillips' penalty helped the home team stay competitive. However, Oyonnax's Martin Bogado scored another try just before halftime, allowing them to lead 14-9 at the break. In the second half, McPhillips continued to score penalties, but Carcassonne couldn't convert their chances into tries. Oyonnax maintained their composure and secured the victory, demonstrating resilience and strategic play throughout the match.
