Castres vs Clermont head to head

Castres Olympique triumphed over ASM Clermont Auvergne with a score of 34-29 in a thrilling Top 14 clash. Geoffrey Palis opened the scoring with an early try, converted by Louis Le Brun, who had an outstanding game. Castres extended their lead with further tries from Le Brun and Gaetan Barlot, while Clermont's Alexandre Fischer also crossed the line. The first half concluded with Castres leading 24-10 after a strong performance, despite Vanverberghe's yellow card. In the second half, Clermont fought back valiantly, scoring tries through Fischer, Fourcade, and Jauneau, but ultimately fell short. Le Brun's kicking accuracy proved crucial as he converted all but one try for Castres. This victory marked a strong response from Castres after their previous heavy defeat to Clermont.
