The Blues secured a convincing 29-13 victory over the Crusaders at Eden Park. Caleb Clarke was the standout player, scoring three tries and showcasing his exceptional speed and finishing ability. The Blues took an early lead with a try from Clarke, followed by two more tries from Codemeru Vai and Clarke again, establishing a 21-6 lead at halftime. The Crusaders managed to score through Codie Taylor and Rivez Reihana, but their efforts were thwarted by a dominant Blues defense. Beauden Barrett's accurate kicking added to the Blues' tally, converting all but one try. The Crusaders struggled with discipline, with Dom Gardiner receiving a yellow card that hampered their momentum. Ultimately, the Blues capitalized on their chances, marking a significant win after previous losses to the Crusaders this season.
