Bayonne triumphed over RC Toulon with a score of 18-10 at Stade Jean Dauger. Early in the match, Segonds opened the scoring with a penalty, setting the tone for Bayonne's dominance. Carreras and Rouet both scored tries, with Segonds converting the latter just before halftime, giving Bayonne a 15-3 lead. Toulon's Jaminet managed a penalty, but Bayonne's defense held strong throughout. In the second half, despite dropping goals missed by Segonds and Tiberghien, Bayonne extended their lead with another penalty from Segonds. Toulon fought back late in the game with a try from Le Corvec and a conversion from Jaminet, but it was not enough. The match concluded with Bayonne securing a crucial win, reversing their fortunes from a previous loss to Toulon earlier in the season.
