The Hurricanes triumphed over the Crusaders with a score of 38-31 in a high-octane Super Rugby match. The Crusaders struck first with a try from Fainga'anuku, but the Hurricanes quickly responded with a flurry of points, including tries from Kirifi, Moorby, and Roigard, all converted by Love. After a competitive first half, the Hurricanes led 28-10 at the break. The Crusaders attempted a comeback in the second half, scoring tries through Hotham and Reihana, narrowing the gap significantly. However, the Hurricanes maintained their composure, with Tuputupu and Fineanganofo adding to the scoreline. Despite late pressure from the Crusaders, including a try from Gardiner, the Hurricanes held on for the victory. Love's exceptional kicking and playmaking were instrumental in securing the win for the home side.
