The Crusaders secured a convincing 36-20 win over the Blues at One NZ Stadium. Early tries from Bower and Hannah set the tone for the home team, with Reihana converting both. The Blues responded with two tries from Lam and Nock before halftime, keeping the game competitive at 24-20. In the second half, Reihana continued to shine, scoring a try and converting it himself, while Preston added another try to extend the lead. The Crusaders faced a red card for MacDonald and a yellow for Sexton, but their solid defense held firm. Despite the numerical disadvantage, they managed to add another try through Bell. The result marked a strong comeback for the Crusaders after their previous loss to the Blues earlier in the season.
