The Chiefs delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Crusaders 49-12 at FMG Stadium Waikato. Kyren Taumoefolau was a standout, scoring two tries early in the match, both converted by Damian McKenzie, who had a flawless kicking display. The home side quickly established a commanding lead with additional tries from Isaac Hutchinson, Samisoni Taukei'aho, and Tupou Vaa'i, showcasing their attacking prowess. The Crusaders managed to score a consolation try through Chay Fihaki, but failed to build any momentum. The Chiefs continued to dominate, with further points added by Leroy Carter and Xavier Roe. McKenzie鈥檚 contributions with the boot ensured the scoreboard kept ticking over. This victory marked a significant turnaround for the Chiefs after a series of losses against the Crusaders in earlier encounters.
