Aoife Wafer opened the scoring with a try in the 11th minute, followed by a conversion from Dannah O'Brien. Wales responded quickly with a try from Georgia Evans, converting through Keira Bevan, to level the match at 7-7. However, Ireland surged ahead with two more tries from Beibhinn Parsons and Brittany Hogan before halftime. Despite Ireland losing Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald to a yellow card early in the second half, they continued to dominate, with Wafer scoring again shortly after.
