Kobe Steelers vs Tokyo Sungoliath head to head

The Kobelco Kobe Steelers secured a commanding 49-28 victory over Tokyo Sungoliath in a thrilling encounter at the Kobe Universiade. Brodie Retallick and Waisake Raratubua each scored two tries, showcasing their attacking prowess early in the match. Seungsin Lee was instrumental, converting all but one of Kobe's tries and contributing to the scoreboard with his strategic kicking. Tokyo managed to respond with tries from Pierich Siebert and Kenta Kobayashi, but they struggled to keep pace with Kobe's relentless offense. A yellow card for Raratubua briefly disrupted the Steelers' rhythm, allowing Tatsuya Miyazaki to score for Sungoliath. However, the home side maintained their dominance, with Shunsuke Uenobou and Daiki Nakajima adding further tries. Ultimately, the match highlighted Kobelco's strength and depth, reinforcing their position as a formidable force in Japan League One D1.
