In an intense match at DHL Stadium, New Zealand defeated the Stormers 38-21. The visitors opened the scoring early with a try from Taukei'aho, followed by a conversion from Barrett. The Stormers responded quickly, with Fourie scoring a try and Ahmed converting to level the game. New Zealand regained the lead with a try from Parker just before halftime, ending the first half at 14-7. The Stormers briefly equalized after Senatla's try, but New Zealand swiftly pulled ahead with tries from Ioane, Carter, and Moorby. A late penalty try for the Stormers added to their score, but Aumua sealed the victory with a final try. Barrett's strong performance with the boot and the New Zealand pack's dominance proved decisive in securing their win.
