France secured a decisive victory over Australia with a final score of 42-26 in the Nations Championship match at Suncorp Stadium. The French team struck first with a try from Meafou, quickly followed by a conversion from Lucu. Australia responded with a try from Paenga-Amosa and a successful conversion by Lonergan, bringing the score to 7-7. Fraser McReight was instrumental for Australia, scoring two tries and helping his team momentarily lead 21-12 at halftime. However, France dominated the second half, with Grandidier-Nkanang and Ntamack crossing the line for tries, along with Lucu's penalty kicks extending their lead. Despite a late try from Williams, Australia's efforts fell short against a well-organized French side. The match showcased France's attacking prowess and Australia’s struggles in defense, reflecting their previous encounter where France also emerged victorious.
