Lyon vs Clermont head to head

Lyon triumphed over ASM Clermont Auvergne with a thrilling 40-36 victory in a high-scoring Top 14 clash. Gabin Lorre opened the scoring with a try, followed swiftly by another to establish an early 17-0 lead. Lyon's fly-half Leo Berdeu was instrumental, converting four tries and adding penalties to his tally. Clermont fought back valiantly, scoring five tries, including a late effort from AJ Lam, but ultimately fell short. Despite a strong second-half performance that saw them close the gap, Clermont could not secure the win. Lyon's defense held firm under pressure, especially in the final moments of the match. This victory marked a significant turnaround for Lyon against a historically strong Clermont side.
