Section Paloise triumphed over Montpellier Herault Rugby with a final score of 27-19. The match started with Montpellier facing early adversity, as Baptiste Erdocio and Luka Japaridze received yellow cards within the first seven minutes. Section's Youri Delhommel opened the scoring with a try, quickly followed by a conversion from Joe Simmonds. Montpellier fought back, with Lyam Akrab and Auguste Cadot both scoring tries, but they were unable to maintain the lead after Simmonds' penalty and Jack Maddocks' critical try. The home side briefly led 19-17 after Yacouba Camara's try, but Section Paloise regained control with Simmonds' penalty and a try from Maddocks. Simmonds was instrumental, contributing three conversions and two penalties to secure the victory. The win highlighted Section Paloise's resilience and ability to capitalize on Montpellier's early discipline issues.
