Bayonne secured a narrow victory over Racing 92 with a final score of 20-17. The away team started strong, with Segonds kicking an early penalty, followed by Tiberghien's try, putting them ahead 10-0. Racing responded quickly with Prisciantelli's try and Machenaud's penalties, leading to a halftime score of 17-10 in their favor. However, in the second half, Bayonne's resilience paid off as they scored another try through Martin, along with Segonds' conversion and a penalty. Despite Racing's efforts, they struggled with indiscipline, receiving multiple yellow cards, which hampered their chances. Bayonne capitalized on the momentum shift to clinch the win. This match highlighted Segonds' pivotal role for Bayonne, contributing significantly to their scoring efforts.
