Blair Murray was a standout performer for the Scarlets, scoring two tries and demonstrating great skill throughout the match. The opening stages saw the Scarlets take control early on, with Sam Costelow successfully converting a try and adding a drop goal just before halftime. The Lions responded with a try from Nico Steyn, but the Scarlets maintained their lead thanks to a penalty from Costelow and a try by Taine Plumtree soon after the break.
