The Stormers secured a 34-24 victory over Cardiff Rugby in a thrilling encounter at DHL Stadium. Leolin Zas opened the scoring for the home side with a try in the ninth minute, followed shortly by Cardiff's Danny Southworth leveling the match. The Stormers then took control with tries from Suleiman Hartzenberg and Zas, which were converted by Damian Willemse, before Southworth received a red card just after the half-hour mark. Cardiff fought back with a try from Gabriel Hamer-Webb but trailed 21-14 at halftime. In the second half, Hartzenberg scored again for the Stormers, but Cardiff's Harri Millard responded with a try of his own. The match saw Willemse receive a red card, putting the Stormers down to 14 men, yet they managed to hold onto their lead. A late try from Dafydd Hughes for Cardiff narrowed the gap, but it was not enough as the Stormers clinched the win.
