Lyon secured a commanding 43-24 victory over ASM Clermont Auvergne at the Matmut Stadium de Gerland. Dylan Cretin opened the scoring with an early try followed by a conversion from Leo Berdeu, who continued to shine throughout the match. Baptiste Couilloud added another try shortly after, putting Lyon firmly in control. Despite Kylan Hamdaoui's response for Clermont, Lyon maintained their momentum with a series of tries, including a standout performance from Berdeu, who scored and converted multiple times. In the second half, Clermont attempted to rally with tries from Barnabe Massa and Joris Jurand, but Lyon's defense held strong. The match concluded with Lyon's Thomas Moukoro crossing the line for the final try, solidifying their triumph. Lyon's dominant performance marked a significant turnaround from their previous encounters with Clermont.
