Clermont responded quickly with two tries from Lucas Tauzin, but Toulon maintained their lead with tries from Marius Domon, Gael Drean, and Jeremy Sinzelle, all converted by Biggar. Despite a strong effort from Clermont, including tries from George Moala and Sebastien Bezy, they could not close the gap.
