The Stormers showcased a dominant performance, defeating the Sale Sharks 40-0 at DHL Stadium. JD Schickerling opened the scoring with a try in the 21st minute, followed by a successful conversion from Manie Libbok. Libbok then scored a try himself shortly after, further extending the lead. Despite a yellow card for Frans Malherbe just before halftime, the Stormers maintained control. In the second half, Sti Sithole and Paul de Wet added to the tally with well-executed tries. Libbok continued to impress, converting all his attempts before being substituted. The Sharks struggled to find their rhythm and finished the match without scoring, reflecting the Stormers' defensive strength and attacking prowess.
