Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a commanding 47-29 victory over Munster Rugby in the Champions Cup. The home side started strong, with Penaud scoring a try within five minutes, followed by two more tries from Lucu and Samu. Matthieu Jalibert was instrumental, converting all but one of the tries, contributing significantly to the scoreboard. Munster responded with a try from Nankivell, but Bordeaux-Bègles maintained their dominance despite Cazeaux receiving a yellow card. The second half saw Bordeaux-Bègles extend their lead, with Lamothe adding another try before Munster's Smith scored twice. However, the home team's defense held firm even after Cazeaux's red card late in the match. Bordeaux-Bègles' clinical performance and disciplined play ultimately secured them a comprehensive win.
