Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a convincing 46-33 victory over the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld. The away team struck first with a try from Penaud, quickly followed by a conversion from Jalibert. The Bulls responded rapidly, with De Klerk scoring a try and Pollard converting. Bordeaux-Bègles maintained pressure, exemplified by tries from Bielle-Biarrey and Lamothe, but the Bulls countered with a series of tries, including one from Moodie. A yellow card issued to Kriel temporarily hindered the Bulls' efforts, allowing Bordeaux-Bègles to capitalize with a try from Palu soon after halftime. Jalibert's impressive performance included two tries and multiple conversions, showcasing his skill as a fly-half. Ultimately, Bordeaux-Bègles' offensive prowess and strategic play secured their win, overshadowing the Bulls' spirited fightback.
