The Sharks delivered an emphatic performance, defeating ASM Clermont Auvergne 50-12 in the Champions Cup. Aphelele Fassi opened the scoring with a try, quickly followed by a conversion from Jordan Hendrikse. Clermont struggled after Yerim Fall received a red card in the seventh minute, which severely impacted their game plan. Despite Joris Jurand scoring for Clermont, the Sharks maintained control, with Jaden Hendrikse and Vincent Koch adding to the scoreline. Hendrikse was instrumental, converting five tries throughout the match. In the second half, Siya Masuku and Phepsi Buthelezi also crossed the line, cementing the Sharks' dominance. The victory showcased the Sharks' attacking prowess and defensive strength against a depleted Clermont side.
