Northampton Saints triumphed over Castres Olympique with a score of 49-41 in a high-scoring Champions Cup clash. The away team got off to a strong start, with tries from Ambadiang and Chabouni, but the Saints responded quickly with a penalty try and a score from Fischetti. Anthony Belleau was instrumental, converting all five of his conversions and scoring a try himself, showcasing his control as fly half. Castres fought back with tries from Ardron, Karawalevu, and Botitu, but were unable to keep pace with the relentless Saints attack. The match featured a flurry of yellow cards, particularly affecting Castres, as Ambadiang and Ducat had to spend time in the sin bin. Ultimately, the Saints' power and precision in attack proved too much for the visitors, securing a memorable victory. This match continued the Saints' dominance over Castres, having won their previous encounters as well.
