Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a convincing 41-19 victory over Leinster Rugby in the Champions Cup at San Mames. Tommy O'Brien opened the scoring for Leinster with a try, converted by Harry Byrne, giving them an early lead. However, Bordeaux responded rapidly with tries from Maxime Lucu, Pablo Uberti, and Louis Bielle-Biarrey, with Lucu converting all three to lead 21-7 at halftime. The second half saw Yoram Moefana extend Bordeaux's lead, although Lucu received a yellow card shortly thereafter. Joe McCarthy scored for Leinster, but Bordeaux continued their dominance with a try from Garry Ringrose that was converted by Ciaran Frawley. Bordeaux's Maxime Lucu was instrumental, contributing significantly with conversions and a penalty. Ultimately, Bordeaux's clinical performance overwhelmed Leinster, sealing a decisive win.
